Actually, I'm kind of hoping his enraged spirit hangs around a few years, so we can be treated to headlines about Teletubbies being eviscerated, Barney being found stuffed and mounted in the Museum of Natural History, and the head of Saban Entertainment being found in a grotty hotel room, his eyelids removed, babbling and insane after being forced to watch his company's vile kid-vid non-stop for a week.

Then Keeshan's shade can join Misterogers and Pinky Lee in the land beyond the sea.

Big Bird and Snuffleupagus will be his henchmen.
"Looks like our friend Barney ate a little too much birdseed, huh, Snuffy?"
"Oh, dear!"

Something I remember as a kid:

Crossover Episodes between the Kid Show Greats.

I recall Mr. Rogers visiting Captain Kangaroo . . . or was it the other way around? One or the other definitely happened.

Mr. Rogers also visited Dusty, in Dusty's Treehouse, which was a local (?) kidvid about a man-child living in a tree with puppets.

These were wild freaky events for a kid. Like the Pope visiting the Queen or Jesus hanging with Quetzocoatl for a while.

Mr. Rogers used to visit Sesame Street few times in the 80's. that freaked me out as a kid so bad, i shit my pants whenever it happened.

Mr. Rogers would have been cool with that. He was an understanding sort. Although, I don't think he'd write a song about it.

Even in death, Mr Rogers bogarts the Captain's publicity.

Dunno about the rest of the country, but in the Dallas area we also grew up with Mr Peppermint (Jerry Haynes) and his little TV puppet show that ran for 35 years. I can still do a pretty good impression of Muffin bear. I guess every major city had some local wierdo whooping it for local kids on morning TV, and his son Gibby Haynes of the Butthole Surfers had a pretty funny radio show when i lived in Austin..
