When it's actually running, it's not too pretty, but it is fast. Speed is what will make 3D navigation interfaces usable. Anyone who ever used Apple's oldHotSauce application knows the importance of good labeling and speed.

Two things this is missing:

1) 3D icons. If it's a 3D environment, then why are the icons still 2D (and nearly disappear when seen on edge)?

2) 3D input devices. Nevermind that it's a 3D environment projected on a 2D device (monitor), but you still have to try to navigate this 3D environment with a 2D device (mouse)... although gamers might not have that much of a problem with this.

What makes "speed" an advantage? Any computer that could run that could run the normal 2D environment faster, I would assume.
