i was moved by spacer.gif. i saw it as an expression of absence, really an exploration of white space.

On the flip side, people who love babies, puppies, and kitties will enjoy cutie.jpg, baby.jpg, and sweetie.jpg.

Oops, that last one should have been...

EamonJan 09, 2002 at 2:48PM

I love the "dessert" and "mary poppins" searches. Brilliant.

Andre TorrezJan 09, 2002 at 3:05PM

Is test.gif too obvious? spacer.gif was pretty cool. clear.gif was not very cool.

This is very cool.

SiWJan 09, 2002 at 3:30PM

For the coders in the house: foo.jpg

Man, I love image searches. I had a little ASP+CSS dealie that made moving (literally, not emotionally) montages of random graphics, but it broke when I switched hosts and lost the use of a specific control. My weapon of choice then was multimedia.lycos.com

What happens after too much of a favorite beverage.

Searching for "mvc" will return a whole host of images taken by the sony mavica series of cameras.

SiW beat me to foo.jpg, so I'll have to add foo.gif, but I think foo.jpg is much better.

Wasn't Warhol meaning that in the future, because so many people could become famous (due to media saturation and overload) that fame would only be for a short period of time?

MegJan 10, 2002 at 5:18AM

Be very very quiet. Also, a chillcam search shows images captured using that popular webcam software.

"Wake up!" I said to my roommate, and pointed excitedly at the calendar. It was the the eighth of February, and on the schedule for today was our big trip to the reservoir.

We stopped for coffee on the way, making sure to get a receipt and ignoring the weird accordion-playing beggar who accosted us on the way out.

We picked up Professor Jenkins, who was a specialist in ancient Greek and Roman government. If you wanted to know something about a particular emperor, or a famous siege, or the Colossus of Rhodes, he could tell you about it.

"First, let's stop off at the cemetery," he said. "My father died forty years ago on my twelfth birthday, and I want to visit him and our Pilgrim ancestors."

We waited in the car, sharing a baked potato topped with broccoli, as Jenkins placed a balloon on his father's grave. He returned to the car, wiping away tears with a handkerchief. The fuel gauge showed the tank was three-quarters full, so off we went, clapping in rhythm to the stereo.
